UAE healthcare group Trellis Health has selected InterSystems IntelliCare as the electronic health record (EHR) platform for its developing healthcare network in Dubai, with artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities forming part of its digital infrastructure from the outset.
Backed by Al Ghurair, Trellis Health currently operates Trellis Hospital in Jumeirah and is developing two outpatient clinics in Jumeirah Village Circle (JVC) and Expo City, both expected to open by the end of 2026. The group also plans to build a new hospital as part of its expansion strategy.
The selection of IntelliCare will provide a digital platform intended to connect clinical teams and facilities, support the coordination of patient care and streamline administrative processes across the network.
InterSystems describes IntelliCare as the first electronic health record designed with AI at its core to receive European Union Medical Device Regulation (EU MDR) certification. The platform combines EHR functionality with AI-enabled features, including workflow assistance, conversational user experiences and access to clinical information.
Trellis Health said the platform would support its Connected Caring model, which focuses on coordinating care across facilities and simplifying the patient journey. The organisation also plans to use AI to reduce administrative workloads and improve access to information for healthcare professionals.
The adoption of IntelliCare forms part of Trellis Health’s plans to establish a connected healthcare network, with technology supporting collaboration between hospitals, clinics and healthcare professionals as the organisation expands.
