Malaysian health technology company MedPlanner Sdn. Bhd. has launched two new AI-powered products, completing what it describes as a full-stack clinical AI ecosystem covering the entire patient care journey.
The two new solutions — HEMI Health, an AI medical scribe with medicolegal protection tools, and AskHEMI, a multilingual patient-facing health companion — join HEMI Teams, the company’s existing hospital clinical coordination platform. All three run on a single proprietary engine, HEMI (Health Medical Intelligence).
HEMI Health targets clinicians in Malaysia and the United Kingdom, combining AI-assisted documentation with structured clinical reasoning records, evidence-based decision support, and tools designed to support professional complaint response. The company says the medicolegal protection capability — which supports contemporaneous reasoning documentation and reflective practice — is not currently available in comparable clinical AI products.
AskHEMI is aimed at patients, carers, and the general public, offering 24/7 health guidance across multiple languages via a free iOS and Android app. The platform is built on MedPlanner’s proprietary clinical knowledge base rather than general-purpose AI models, and includes escalation pathways and localised health system awareness. Enterprise customisation is available for healthcare organisations, insurers, and wellness brands.
Dr Ezam Mat Ali, Founder and CEO of MedPlanner and a Consultant Paediatrician, said the company was founded on the premise that fragmented systems were failing both clinicians and patients. “Doctors are buried in paperwork. Patients leave appointments confused and unsupported,” he said. “One engine. One connected intelligence. Addressing the full journey from hospital ward to patient at home.”
All three products share a common compliance framework aligned with GDPR and NHS standards. To support international expansion, MedPlanner has incorporated HEMI Limited in London as its commercial and partnership vehicle for the UK, Europe, and other markets.
The company will present all three solutions at NHS ConfedExpo in Manchester on 10–11 June 2026, Stand A34.
