Ping An Good Doctor extends AI consultation service to 90 million users across group ecosystem

Ping An Health has upgraded its AI-driven health consultation service, Ping An AI Doctor, integrating it into four core applications across the Ping An Group ecosystem and extending its reach to 90 million monthly active users.

The service is now embedded in Ping An Jin Guan Jia, Ping An Auto Owner, Ping An Pocket Bank and Ping An Le Health, meaning users can access it through existing insurance, banking and auto-related apps without downloading a separate application.

Ping An AI Doctor runs on the company’s Ping An Medical Master large language model and follows a model combining automated AI response with human doctor oversight at every stage.

The platform offers preliminary symptom screening, condition assessment, medication safety guidance, health risk assessment and personalised care planning, available 24 hours a day with response times as fast as three seconds for common queries.

All AI-generated diagnostic suggestions and care plans are reviewed by licensed physicians before reaching the user. Cases involving complex chronic conditions or potential serious risk are automatically escalated to specialists for direct consultation rather than resolved by the AI system alone.

Beyond consultation, the service includes health assessments, electronic medical record management, interpretation of health checkup reports and ongoing management for chronic conditions including hypertension, diabetes and hyperlipidaemia.

The platform connects users to a network of more than 3,500 contracted specialists at Grade A tertiary hospitals, over 5,100 partner hospitals and 240,000 branded pharmacies, supporting functions such as triage, appointment booking, medical accompaniment and hospital admission assistance.

It also offers medication delivery within one hour for urgent cases, alongside home-based services including nursing care, elderly care and postpartum recovery support.
