Red Sea Global and HMG open digitally enabled Red Sea Hospital

Red Sea Global (RSG), the developer behind the regenerative tourism destinations The Red Sea and AMAALA, has inaugurated The Red Sea Hospital in partnership with Dr. Sulaiman Al Habib Medical Services Group (HMG). The ceremony took place under the patronage of Saudi Health Minister Fahad Abdulrahman AlJalajel.

The hospital, which will be managed and operated by HMG, is intended to expand healthcare access for employees, residents, local communities and visitors across The Red Sea destination. It offers emergency care, inpatient and outpatient services, specialist clinics, surgical facilities and integrated digital health services, and is fully licensed by the Ministry of Health to meet both local and international standards.

RSG and HMG have positioned the facility’s use of digitally enabled medical services and integrated technology systems as central to its design, aiming to deliver what the partners describe as a “seamless and responsive” patient experience rather than a conventional standalone hospital. Neither party has disclosed specifics on what the digital enablement involves – whether that’s electronic health records, telehealth, remote monitoring or AI-assisted diagnostics – so the extent of the innovation claim remains unverified.

The facility forms the clinical anchor of Red Sea Health, RSG’s wider healthcare brand, which is being expanded to include six pharmacies and a dedicated medical emergency response system designed for rapid dispatch and hospital transfers across the destination.

John Pagano, Group CEO of Red Sea Global, said the opening reflected the company’s ambition to build “complete destinations” supported by the infrastructure needed for people to live and work there with confidence, describing the partnership as combining destination-scale planning with advanced healthcare expertise. Faisal Al Nassar, President and CEO of HMG, said the venture paired the group’s clinical expertise and technology with RSG’s vision for an integrated destination.

The opening builds on RSG’s broader healthcare strategy for its destinations and is framed as supporting the tourism and quality-of-life objectives of Saudi Vision 2030. Since welcoming its first guests in 2023,

The Red Sea has grown to 11 operating hotels, with a further six resorts due to open on Shura Island in the coming months — expansion that RSG says makes healthcare infrastructure an increasingly important part of destination readiness.
