Smart Health Asia launches in Singapore with more than 3,000 visitors expected

Smart Health Asia opened at the Sands Expo and Convention Centre on 1 July, marking the launch of a new healthcare innovation platform for the Asia-Pacific region.

The two-day event, running until 2 July, is expected to draw more than 3,000 visitors, including over 300 decision-makers from hospitals across Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Australia, Thailand, South Korea, Japan, India, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Myanmar and Vietnam.

The conference programme features more than 140 senior speakers from 18 countries across over 80 sessions, covering healthcare C-suite leadership, policy, clinical practice and digital health innovation. Confirmed speakers include Colin Lim, CIO and Group Director at Singapore’s Ministry of Health, Dr Lee Chien-Chang, CIO at Taiwan’s Ministry of Health and Welfare, and Dr Maheshwara Rao Appannan, Director of the Digital Health Division at Malaysia’s Ministry of Health.

The exhibition covers AI and predictive analytics, remote patient monitoring, medtech devices, electronic health records, telehealth platforms and systems integration. Oracle Health and Singtel are Title Sponsors, with Becton Dickinson, GE Healthcare, InterSystems, Roche Diagnostics Asia Pacific and Solventum among the Gold Sponsors.

Organiser Messe Berlin framed the launch as reflecting Asia’s growing weight in global healthcare innovation. Group CEO Mario Tobias said the region is “setting new benchmarks for healthcare transformation” across diagnostics, digital platforms and data-driven care. Kym Chua, Executive Director of Messe Berlin Asia Pacific, said the event aims to give industry leaders a platform to connect and explore innovations shaping the region’s healthcare future.

The launch also confirmed plans for expansion. Smart Pharma Asia will debut alongside the 2027 edition as a dedicated exhibition zone linking pharmaceutical innovation with digital health and medtech. Smart Health Europe, the event’s European counterpart, is set to launch in Berlin the same year.
