Ant Group’s AI Healthcare Manager AQ reaches 100 million users

Following public testing that began in September 2024, Ant Group’s AI healthcare manager, AQ, has reached 100 million users since its official launch in June 2025. The milestone marks a significant step in the Alibaba affiliate’s growing presence in the healthcare sector, building on more than a decade of experience supporting China’s digital healthcare transformation.

AQ is designed to help users manage their everyday health needs and offers over 100 AI-powered services, including doctor recommendations, medical report analysis, and personalised health advice. It also connects users with more than 5,000 hospitals, nearly one million doctors, and 269 AI Doctor Agents co-developed with leading Chinese physicians.

In March 2025, Ant Group announced major upgrades to its suite of AI healthcare solutions. In collaboration with industry partners, the company integrated its healthcare large model with a range of All-in-One Large Model Machines for Healthcare, which are now being adopted by top hospitals across China. Its AI Doctor Assistant also received significant enhancements to support advanced medical research.

In January 2025, Ant Group completed the acquisition of Haodf, a leading healthcare platform specializing in online doctor consultations. Together, the two sides launched the AI Doctor Assistant, which supports doctors with AI-assisted diagnosis, medical record management, and patient education.

Ant Group is also collaborating with nearly 200 prominent doctors in China to develop AI Doctor Agents that provide patients with credible, authoritative healthcare advice and medical guidance. The initiative not only empowers individuals to maintain better health, but also supports those with limited access to medical resources, ensuring timely, expert care when it’s needed most.
