CMUH becomes Taiwan’s first HIMSS AMAM Stage 7 hospital

China Medical University Hospital (CMUH) has become Taiwan’s first and APAC’s second hospital, after Samsung Medical Center in South Korea, to receive Stage 7 certification in the Analytics Maturity Adoption Model (AMAM) from HIMSS.

According to CMUH Superintendent Dr. Der-Yang Cho, this certification reflects the hospital’s successful integration of AI and big data analytics into clinical decision-making and hospital management, resulting in more precise diagnostics, more efficient treatments, and significantly reduced patient wait times. This enhances the safety, speed, and personalisation of medical care.

He added that CMUH will continue expanding AI applications in healthcare, ensuring that Taiwan remains a global leader in Smart Healthcare 4.0 while setting new benchmarks for world-class smart hospitals.

CMUH received DIAM Stage 6 certification for digital imaging adoption in 2024 and has actively embraced AI-driven digital healthcare transformation since 2016, establishing a Big Data Center, an AI Center, and a Digital Transformation Office.
