PureHealth launches pilot of AI-powered clinical assistant “Nada”

PureHealth, the largest healthcare group in the Middle East, has launched the pilot phase of “Nada”, an AI-powered digital assistant designed to capture and organise clinical notes in real time during medical consultations.

The pilot is being conducted across selected PureHealth facilities as part of efforts to improve the accuracy and management of clinical information, while maintaining patient privacy, data security, and compliance with regulatory standards in the Emirate.

“Nada” is intended for use during consultations, allowing physicians to focus on patients rather than manual documentation. The system aims to ensure that medical records remain accurate, comprehensive, and clinically reliable.

The pilot follows a multi-phase evaluation and testing process conducted across SEHA’s hospital network in the UAE, including high-volume primary care settings, specialised services, and complex tertiary hospital environments.

Initial projections suggest that physicians using “Nada” could reduce the time spent on clinical documentation by more than 50%, freeing an average of over two hours per clinician per day for direct patient care. The AI system has been developed to capture complex medical terminology and local dialects, supporting improved quality and continuity of medical records.

For patients, the technology could allow for more direct interaction with physicians, as clinicians are able to maintain eye contact and communicate more clearly without the need for repeated explanations.

“Nada” integrates ambient AI that operates only within consultations to structure medical information instantly, aiming to support clinicians without replacing human interaction. The service’s name reflects the Arabic values of gentle presence, attentiveness, and clarity.

The pilot is part of PureHealth’s broader initiative to integrate AI technologies into clinical practice in a manner that enhances patient experience and supports healthcare providers.
