Fangzhou partners with Sun Yat-sen University on healthcare AI study

Fangzhou, a Chinese provider of AI-driven Internet healthcare solutions, is joining a new research project funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC). The project, led by Professor Liang Jianping of Sun Yat-sen University in Guangzhou, is Fangzhou’s second NSFC-backed collaboration.

The study will examine how human–AI collaboration models affect consumer adoption of healthcare products and services. Fangzhou, as the project’s sole corporate partner, will focus on “AI + chronic disease management” and support the research team with real-world data collection and model optimisation. The project aims to advance academic understanding in AI and cognitive science and support broader application of AI in healthcare.

Fangzhou previously participated in a 2024 NSFC project on AI supervision and online consumer behaviour, led by Professor Wang Haizhong of the same university. These projects demonstrate Fangzhou’s engagement in industry–academia collaboration and its work in developing healthcare AI solutions.

China has identified AI as a strategic national priority, issuing guidelines to advance the “AI+” initiative across six sectors, including healthcare. Fangzhou’s involvement in NSFC research aligns with this agenda by addressing consumer adoption of AI-enabled products and services.

Fangzhou will continue to participate in national research initiatives and build industry–academia partnerships to translate academic findings into healthcare services, supporting “Healthy China 2030” goals.
