Reem Hospital installs GCC’s first AI-powered Siemens Healthineers MAGNETOM Flow MRI

Reem Hospital in Abu Dhabi has installed the Gulf Cooperation Council’s first Siemens Healthineers MAGNETOM Flow MRI system, marking the introduction of an AI-enabled magnetic resonance imaging platform designed to improve scan efficiency and diagnostic performance.

The MAGNETOM Flow system incorporates AI technologies, including Siemens Healthineers’ Deep Resolve software, which is designed to reduce scan times while maintaining high image quality. According to the hospital, the system is intended to support growing patient volumes and enhance diagnostic workflows across its radiology services.

Hospital officials said the technology allows for faster imaging, improved image resolution and more streamlined clinical workflows, enabling radiologists and clinicians to make informed diagnostic decisions while improving patient comfort during scans.

The MRI installation forms part of Reem Hospital’s broader strategy to integrate advanced medical technologies and expand its diagnostic capabilities in line with international healthcare standards.

Zaid Al Siksek, Chairman of Reem Hospital, said the introduction of the MAGNETOM Flow reflects the hospital’s ongoing investment in advanced medical systems and partnerships with global medical technology providers. Clancey Po, Chief Executive Officer, added that the system represents an investment in both clinical capability and operational efficiency.

Dr Haggag, Head of Radiology at Reem Hospital, said the AI-enabled features of the system support faster acquisition of high-resolution images, helping to reduce examination times while supporting accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.

The MAGNETOM Flow MRI is designed to improve operational efficiency within radiology departments while supporting a more comfortable experience for patients undergoing imaging procedures.
