Lunit to deploy AI-powered breast cancer screening solution across SEHA network in UAE

Mammogram machine

Korean healthcare AI company Lunit, a provider of AI-powered solutions for cancer diagnostics and therapeutics, has signed a supply agreement with Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (SEHA), part of PureHealth—the largest integrated healthcare network in the Middle East—to provide its AI-powered mammography analysis solution, Lunit INSIGHT MMG. This partnership aims to enhance breast cancer screening across the UAE.

Under the agreement, SEHA will deploy Lunit INSIGHT MMG, which detects and diagnoses malignant lesions suspicious of breast cancer with 96 per cent accuracy, across its network of 14 hospitals and more than 70 primary healthcare and ambulatory care clinics, collectively comprising over 3,000 beds. Over the next five years, the AI technology will analyse more than 100,000 mammography images.

The agreement follows a successful proof-of-concept (PoC) evaluation launched by Lunit and SEHA in 2022. During this initial collaboration, SEHA assessed the performance of Lunit INSIGHT MMG, achieving promising results that paved the way for full-scale deployment.
