GPU giant NVIDIA has acquired VinBrain, a Hanoi-based startup previously funded by Vietnamese conglomerate Vingroup. VinBrain specialises in AI-powered medical solutions and has provided equipment and tools to 182 hospitals across Vietnam, the US, India, Australia, and other countries, aiming to enhance medical professionals’ efficiency.
VinBrain in 2024 received the Gold Award at the ASEAN Digital Awards for its DrAid™ CT Liver Cancer solution, an AI-powered product for early detection of liver cancer in patients. The solution has been experimentally used by doctors at Hue Central Hospital and the Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy, according to the company.
