Philips and Indonesian healthcare group Siloam Hospitals Group have signed an MoU to advance AI capabilities and development in Indonesian healthcare.

In partnership with the Universitas Pelita Harapan Medical Sciences Group, the strategic collaboration will focus on knowledge-sharing, capacity building and implementing advanced AI solutions.

The partnership aims to help transform clinical care and digital health by leveraging Philips’ AI innovations, enhance healthcare delivery, and make healthcare infrastucture more sustainable, with the goal of delivering better care for more people in Indonesia.

A key area of collaboration will include AI-driven clinical care, particularly in areas such as radiology, pathology, (interventional) cardiology and clinical operations, with the introduction of Philips AI technologies into Siloam Hospitals.

The collaboration also focuses on the development of local expertise in AI and digital health through collaboration with the UPH Medical Sciences Group.

Third, Philips will share expertise and global best practices with Siloam Hospitals and UPH. The collaboration includes aligning with Philips’ informatics, AI research, and global healthcare strategies to create scalable solutions tailored to the needs of Indonesia’s healthcare system.

Siloam Hospitals will additionally integrate AI into its healthcare management systems, including telemedicine, electronic medical records, and remote patient monitoring, in support of Indonesia’s digital health strategy.

Lastly, Philips will support Siloam Hospitals in advancing its ESG strategic priorities.

This partnership aligns with the Indonesian government’s healthcare strategy to improve healthcare accessibility, enhance clinical outcomes, and embrace digital transformation.
