The SingHealth Duke-NUS Academic Medical Centre (AMC), has launched the Artificial Intelligence in Medicine Institute (AIMI) that will integrate SingHealth’s data science and AI expertise with Duke-NUS’ academic network, driving research, education, and commercialisation.

AIMI aims to equip healthcare professionals across medical specialties with the expertise and support needed to develop and implement AI-driven solutions. The Institute will bridge the gap between technical expertise and clinical knowledge by fostering meaningful partnerships with local and global experts while providing resources and grants to bring innovative ideas to life.

As such, AIMI will launch “AI101”, a flagship online training series providing foundational insights into AI’s unique considerations and applications in healthcare, equipping both healthcare professionals and the public with essential AI knowledge.

AIMI also aims to strengthen AI governance by developing guidelines, publications, and policy recommendations, ensuring a robust framework as AI adoption grows.
