Mass General Brigham to host Healthcare Innovation Acceleration Day at WHX 2026

Mass General Brigham will host a one-day Healthcare Innovation Acceleration Day at WHX 2026 on 10 February in Dubai, bringing together regional and international perspectives on artificial intelligence, digital health and healthcare entrepreneurship.

The limited-capacity educational seminar, with 50 seats available, is designed for clinicians, healthcare executives, innovators, entrepreneurs and investors. It will focus on how clinical insight, research and AI-enabled innovation can be translated into scalable healthcare solutions with real-world impact for health systems, patients and economies.

The programme is based on the MESH healthcare innovation curriculum, originally developed within the MESH Incubator at Mass General Brigham, the world’s first hospital-based healthcare innovation incubator. Sessions will address AI and digital health innovation in clinical environments, intellectual property and technology transfer, commercialisation pathways, and the practical considerations involved in building and pitching healthcare ventures.

Mass General Brigham reports that the MESH curriculum has trained more than 3,000 clinicians, researchers and innovators globally, many of whom have gone on to launch new ventures, license technologies and support the adoption of new solutions within healthcare systems.

Unlike traditional incubator models, MESH is embedded within clinical practice and led by faculty who are active clinicians, inventors and entrepreneurs, ensuring that innovation is grounded in patient care, regulatory considerations and system readiness. Peer-reviewed studies have examined the MESH model’s impact on innovation capabilities in clinical settings, and the MESH Incubator has published more than 80 scientific papers related to innovation, artificial intelligence and healthcare operations.

The WHX edition will be led by senior Mass General Brigham faculty and innovation leaders, including Chris Coburn, Chief Innovation Officer; Nallan Sriraman, Chief Technology Officer; and Sherene Shenouda, Director of Business Development and Licensing. Drawing on backgrounds spanning entrepreneurship, clinical practice, research and technology licensing, the faculty will deliver a focused, one-day programme grounded in real-world application and healthcare system realities.

Mass General Brigham has collaborated with healthcare institutions in the Middle East and internationally for more than two decades, working with partners to share experience and best practices drawn from its integrated academic healthcare system.

In parallel with the Healthcare Innovation Acceleration Day at the Connect Conference Center, Expo City Dubai, Mass General Brigham leaders will also take part in broader WHX 2026 discussions on the future of healthcare, contributing perspectives on workforce development, artificial intelligence and digital transformation.
