Mediprima Healthcare and UCrest Berhad partner to enable IoMT in clinics

UCrest Berhad, a Malaysian cloud hospital and mobile health service provider, and Mediprima Healthcare, a Malaysian private healthcare group, have entered into an agreement to digitalise clinics using the Internet of Medical Things (IoMT), thus ensuring improved access for doctors to patients and enhancing patient outcomes, especially in chronic disease management.

Under this collaboration, Mediprima will integrate UCrest’s digital health platform iMedic into their existing 18 clinics, offering a range of telemedicine services, preventive care programs, chronic disease management, and digital health screening programs to patients throughout Malaysia.

iMedic is capable of connecting with more than 30 wireless medical devices, including ECG monitors, blood pressure monitors, oximeters, ultrasound machines, BMI monitors, CPAP devices, and others. Its advanced IoMT and AI functionalities facilitate seamless communication between patients and healthcare practitioners, resulting in proactive management of patient health and increased efficiency for doctors.

iMedic is currently in use across the United States, China, Singapore, Taiwan, Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Middle East for the diagnosis, management, and treatment of chronic diseases such as cardiovascular diseases, cancer, diabetes, hypertension, sleep apnea, and stroke rehabilitation.
