Ping An launches AI-driven rehabilitation hospital in Shenzhen

Ping An has launched its first self-operated rehabilitation hospital in Shenzhen, signalling a push into AI-powered healthcare. Shenzhen Beiyi Rehabilitation Hospital, operated by PKU Healthcare Group, combines advanced digital technologies with specialist care across six areas: neurology, orthopaedics, paediatrics, geriatrics, spinal injury, and pain management, serving up to 100,000 patients annually.

The hospital deploys exoskeleton robots, 3D posture and gait analysis, and an AI-driven precision rehab platform to make rehabilitation more efficient, personalised, and data-driven. It integrates with Ping An’s insurance and senior care services, enabling seamless in-hospital payment and barrier-free claims across China, Hong Kong, Macau, and international markets.

Coupled with the “Ping An Zhen Yi Nian” experience centre, the hospital connects in-hospital, post-hospital, community, and home care, supporting Ping An’s broader “Integrated Finance + Health and Senior Care” strategy and expanding its AI-powered digital health ecosystem.

The launch reflects Ping An’s strategy to merge finance, digital health, and senior care, demonstrating how AI and smart devices can reshape patient care in one of China’s fastest-growing urban regions.
