Siemens Healthineers and Saudi Ministry of Health open SHIFT Innovation Center in Riyadh

Siemens Healthineers has partnered with Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Health to open the SHIFT Innovation Center Riyadh, a new hub designed to strengthen collaboration, speed up healthcare innovation, and help local professionals develop the skills needed for the next generation of care.

Part of Siemens Healthineers’ global SHIFT ecosystem, joining Erlangen, Bangalore, Shanghai, Istanbul, and Madrid, the Riyadh centre will act as a meeting point for government bodies, universities, hospitals, and startups to co-create practical, scalable healthcare solutions powered by technology.

The centre’s work will focus on tackling real-world healthcare challenges—from improving patient outcomes to making hospital operations more efficient.

Its activities revolve around three main areas: providing access to advanced technologies and expert support; identifying and helping scale promising local startups; and building talent through hackathons, bootcamps, workshops, and training focused on digital innovation and clinical excellence.

The new centre additionally aligns with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 to enhance healthcare quality, access, and sustainability through advanced technology and knowledge exchange.
